In the heart of Fondo, the capital of the Alta Val di Non, you can visit the Canyon Rio Sass, a gorge carved by the flow of the stream that crosses the country and can be crossed since 2001 thanks to supported walkways and small ladders.

The Canyon Rio Sass is certainly something unique and of incredible beauty, a hidden treasure of Trentino. A real and actual labyrinth carved out by water and set up with walkways and little ladders that wind through ravines, waterfalls, fossils, giant potholes, stalactites and stalagmites for about two and a half kilometres. Making it even more impressive is undoubtedly the presence of particular flora characterised by red and green algae, mosses and ferns.  In the last ten years, the route has been extended to the Bagni di Fondo area where, in the past, there was a small thermal spa, of which there are still some ruins.  A perfect trip for the whole family, even children can participate without problems accompanied by their parents and in the company of an expert local guide.
